Democrats need to look at this situation realizing that they are just a few caucus members short of an instant majority that can quickly turn the tables on Trump and make all his appointees pay for their overreach rampage.

Democrats do have an option in adopting the carrot approach to convince half a dozen House Repubs that this is the time to be heroes for the history books instead of just another lackey used to kill American democracy.
If they help flip the House in the coming weeks by declaring themselves independents, caucusing with Dems, Jeffries should offer a committee chair.
They can consider it a ringside seat for the complete collapse of #RepubloFascism just before the final nail is put into the coffin of democracy.
Part of the deal should be that the DNC will not fund or support a candidate against them as long as they remain independents.
They could call themselves the #ConstitutionalConservativeCaucus. That would be a great way to
differentiate themselves from those riding out Trump’s lead coattails to the very end.
And these CCC members could eventually be the leaders of GOP 2.0, having earned bipartisan trust. That can come in handy when your party is going to be the minority for another decade.
Their seats are likely to be secure for the long haul, having pleased the farmers, the shopkeepers, and struggling families.
The Democrats won’t say this in their pitch, but it will be like a breath of fresh air for these CCC pioneers, being able to do their job with integrity, not compromised by billionaire demands and racist leadership.
